Who am I?

My online alias is FlakFerret.  I am an aspiring entrepreneur and professional services provider serving the Furry Fandom; an online collection of Anthropomorphic art and media enthusiasts.  My Ohio-based business is an endeavor to raise funds to supplement my income while exercising my skills and overcoming various related challenges.  This business operates its website on the domain https://flakferret.net

When it is applicable, I will utilize subdomains to separate and organize my various services offered.  All of my subdomains will end with the suffix “flakferret.net”.  I do not offer any of my services on any other domain that does not end with this suffix.

Comments

People are encouraged to leave comments on my blog postings to engage in conversation with myself or others.  Doing so is voluntary, and some information is collected to facilitate that function.  This may include email address, IP address, rough geographic location and minor device details in order to verify that all comments submitted to the site are from genuine people, and not robots.

Media

Media may be collected from visitors who interact with forms which request an optional media upload. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded metadata which could include location data (EXIF, GPS) included. Visitors to the website WILL NOT have access to view your uploads, and they will only be visible by me.

This website does not collect, issue or store cookies.  However, some applets on the website (such as WooCommerce, Stripe, PayPal) may use cookies already stored in your browser from those external places.  Those cookies might store data such as saved passwords, card data and other information.  Those cookies do not interface with this website, and that information is not stored in your browser relative to this website.

Who I Share Your Data With

This website does not share data with any partners or affiliates.  This website is single-handedly built managed by one person, and I do not have interest in partnering with anybody in a capacity where sharing data is going to be a condition of the partnership.

How Long I Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Users who make purchases through this website will submit data to myself and the third-party payment provider.  Currently, I am in control of this data, and for how long it is stored. 

I have determined that this data shall not be stored for any longer than it takes to assure that your purchase is successful, your order is shipped and that you are satisfied with your product.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that I erase any personal data that I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Data related to purchases will be retained until the order is completed, up to and including the delivery of your product and assurance of your satisfaction.  At that time, automated processes will delete your data from the website and the databases that serve it.  A printed receipt corresponding to your shipment, including a copy of information that you provided will be retained in a physical format and stored safely in accordance with state and federal law.  This data if for financial auditing purposes, and will be retained for at least seven (7) years.

Where Your Data is Sent

All user submitted data is processed through automated spam prevention filters.  After this process is completed, your data will be stored alongside any relevant purchase records.  If you make a comment on the website, your data will be stored in my database’s whitelist for the purposes of assuring against future spam holds or moderator reviews.
